When it comes to your information product launch, you want as many people as possible to see and talk about the product. You can have an amazing product but if customers don’t know it exists, they can’t buy it, or share the promo for it.
You want to make it easy for your customers to discover, buy, download, and tell their friends about your product. That means you have to make promotion a priority in order to sell it. Here are five tips to help you do just that…
Promote before the Launch
Start talking your product up several weeks before you launch. Share what you’re working on with it so potential customers can follow along on your journey. For example, you might post to your Facebook group: Today, I’m editing my audio course. I can’t wait to share it!
Then another day, you might post about working on your covers or creating the sales copy. Stay enthusiastic as you share the process with your community and they’ll start to cheer you on.
Before the launch goes live, try to arrange to be featured in several spaces. If possible, try to appear on several podcasts and as a guest poster in popular blogs in the same week as your launch. This lets you direct all of your traffic back to your sales page and keep your launch momentum strong.
When considering where you want to be featured, make sure that much of your target audience already visits the site. If you’re selling a digital product about overcoming anxiety with natural solutions, being featured on a puppy training blog isn’t going to help you. You’d be better off appearing as a guest on a smaller blog geared toward anxiety sufferers.
Host a Live Event
Don’t just let your launch day pass you by. Celebrate it in a big way! Go live on your Facebook page, livestream a YouTube video, or start a Google Hangout and invite your community to interact with you.
One of the best things you can do for a live event is to hold contests and give away prizes. This encourages users to show up and listen to what you’re saying. But don’t make the livestream about your amazing launch. Spend time talking to and educating your viewers. Remember, this is really about them and their problem.
Post on Social Media
Use social media to your advantage during a launch. Post about your new product, the response you’re receiving, and any case studies or success stories you have about it.
You should also create a branded hashtag and use it across various social media platforms. Be sure to check out the hashtag first and make sure it hasn’t been used for illegal activities or spam.
Email Your List
Be sure to share your joy and excitement with your list. Unlike other audiences, your subscribers already have a connection to you. They feel like they know you and they like what your business does.
This means some of your best customers are already on your mailing list. You just have to tell them about your awesome launch. You may even want to have a special bonus that only members of your list can access, just to say thanks for sticking by you.
When it comes to launch day, create a plan ahead of time. When you have a plan ready, you’ll know exactly what to do and when you should do it. This helps to make your launch day a breeze and so much more fun!
